Anyone suggest a tripod and or a gun rest for a rifle? To be used by a shooter/hunter with the use of one arm. Thank you for any suggestions and advice. God bless.

Caldwells is hard to beat. I use it and love the ease of use and the functionality of it.

Look up prs he makes the cradles and uses slik tripods. They are awesome and work the money. Not to mention he is a fellow Texan an great guy to do business with.

I use the monopod version from levleok with their belt holster. They make a quality product and I have been happy with this system. By resting the monopod in the holster, it matters not whether I am standing, sitting, or kneeling height remains constant. http://www.levellok.com/

We have one that we build right here in DFW. Originally designed for military/law enforcement snipers but could easily be utilized with use of one arm.

For those of you that might be interested, FiremanJG was kind enough to do a thorough review of our rest under the hunting gear section. I feel our rest will be very beneficial to those with limited limb mobility. I would also be happy to hear any questions or suggestions on how to make our rest more suitable for disabled hunters. -Garret

Anyone suggest a tripod and or a gun rest for a rifle? To be used by a shooter/hunter with the use of one arm. Thank you for any suggestions and advice. God bless. I have Muscular Dystrophy and recently went on a dream hunt to S TX. I bought a Caldwell Field Pod before the trip and decided it did not sit high enough for me to shoot comfortably from a sitting position (I am 6'2") so I went and bought a Caldwell Magnum Field Pod. It is pretty heavy but it is stable and it performed flawlessly for me out of a Pop Up Blind. I made a 110 yard shot and killed the biggest buck of my life. Here is a link to a video of my buck ... https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ay3hhxrb63zl7y/SDV_0057%20%281%29.MP4

I have the field pod and it is likely going back for either the magnum or the one listed above. It's not bad, it's just too short.
