You know I looked hard at one of these for hunting south texas. They are pretty quiet and I think 4 cyl on all of them. That is a good looking rig - did you buy it like that or did you have the work done?
You can't fix stupid

You did a nice job and it looks great We had 4 with automatic trans. of that type of vehicle at one ranch. 2 were single extended cabs and 2 were double cabs. They are not made for daily use in rough or dusty terrain. We had issues with 2 of them from dust getting into the fuel system. Parts were hard to get back then and finding someone to work on them was a major issue. Both parts and work can get expensive. Get air filters that fit exact or you will have issues. All were 4WD but Suzuki had a week 4WD compared to Daihatsi or Mitsubishi. Also certain brands had the radiator under the passenger seat and it catches a lot of dust and water splash. We added an aluminum skid plate to protect it and keep dust down on the ones that had it. If you are taller an extended cab/double cab is nice due to leg room. Suzuki had the front wheels forward more so that you had more room to get in or out. With 2 or more people in one on an incline they struggle due to lack of engine. The ones we had were not very economical on fuel either. They are very quite, smooth and the windhshield and heater are worth it in bad damp winter weather. The fold down sides on the bed is very nice when loading and unloading. Does take some getting used to with the drivers seat on the wrong side.

My buddy has one, Ive driven it quite a bit while working with him. At slower speeds its pretty peppy at traveling speed it definitely lacks on the power end if its loaded heavy. His is a manual and the driver seat being on the wrong side is hard to get used to. I don't know how many times I climbed into the passenger seat and wondered where the heck the wheel went

After the last two testimonials they sound like hunks of junk
Hope the OP has a good experience, it looks like a handy little machine

Im actually pretty fond of them, but they are not a replacement for a truck, a ford ranger, Tacoma, s10 will make them look silly in the power department.
It did take a week or so to get used to it, but I finally climb in the right side of it now.

It did take a week or so to get used to it, but I finally climb in the right side of it now. I have driven these mini-trucks, full size trucks, Rangers and Mules on ranches as work vehicles. None are like a truck. But a truck will not go everywhere on a ranch and then get back like a Ranger or Mule can go. A mini-truck will not go there either. They have their place but you just have to know the limitations. How did you like the fit since you are taller?

How did you like the fit since you are taller? The fit is snug! It was a single cab model and one where your feet are in front of the front tires. I could manage it but sure wouldn't mind more room. My buddy that owns it is 6' 6", im not realy sure how he fits in it much less gets his size 15 shoe on just one of the pedals! They are a good fit for our place as would be any small truck or even most 1/2 ton's. We are relatively flat, the grades are long, no sharp elevation change and all sand. The plusses I see for it over an s-10 Ford ranger etc is turning radius, that thing will turn on a dime and give you change!

TLK: I got lucky and bought it already done. Did the math and couldn't build one like it for the same price. It's a 660cc 3 cylinder with a four speed. Gets about 40 miles to the gallon and runs close to 45mph top end.
STXRANCHER: Thanks for the info on the dust. I'll take some extra precautions.

STXRANCHER: Thanks for the info on the dust. I'll take some extra precautions. I learned the hard way with air filters. This was about 5 yrs ago now and I tried to find some like the filter in the mini-truck locally at several auto parts. The ones that cross referenced where very close but not exact. They did not fit exact Engine lost power after a couple of months. We never got more than 15-20 mpg tops out of ours as far as mileage went also. Ours read mileage in kilometers not miles so had to convert to get mileage. Does yours have tilt steering? Makes it nice getting in and out if it does. Not sure if I would have like the shifting gears left handed...lol. Lot of the controls were opposite also. I drove the mini-truck during the winter months as my daily work truck for huntings season. Should have seen how lost I was getting on a tractor or going to town in my truck after driving all week in the mini-truck

If that thing gets 40 mpg on a ranch I'd like to see it. My car gets 38 on the hwy, but back and forth to work is only 33 and city is 26-30.
You put that thing on a ranch/lease and I bet you never make it out of the low 20's if that. I want one but its gonna have to wait for me. That's a nice buggy.
