I had a couple ducks in the freezer, but when I moved to the FWD area last March I believe they may have defrosted, if not thawed completely. My question is, if I put them back in the freezer as soon as I could have, are they still manageable to mount or are they a lost cause? Any advice or incite is appreciated. But if they are a waste of space I'd like to go ahead and ditch them now and open up some space in the freezer for some delicious crappie. Thanks.

It really depends if they thawed and stayed cold or got hot. I would guess there is a good chance they are still good but you never know. Plus if you have had for over a year there is a chance they are freezer burned. Take to your taxi and let them make the final call on them. If they can be done they'll get done.

I certainly appreciate the response. I figured it would probably be best to just take them to the taxi and let him make the final call but didn't want to waste anybody's time. Thanks again.

I know it's been a few months, but I still haven't gotten around to doing anything with these birds...does anybody else have any expertise on this subject?

Just for the record, both birds "survived" and mounted up perfectly! Just thought I would share....

Thanks again Paul Szurek for preserving a couple memories!
