I'd guess about mid 120s on the score. 4.5 on age. Hard to tell on score from those two pictures. Nice buck. If the age guess is right he should jump nicely next year if its not too dry.

Looks like a mature buck in his prime. Also looks like the drought or something affected his antler growth. He might be a monster next year! Good Luck!

4.5 looks like his antlers are growing up instead of out
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

Looks like a nice buck with some goofy genetics.
I would guess 4.5 at an absolute min and likely older.

IMP, that is an older deer. 5.5, maybe 6.5. Run down from the rut. Look at the size of his shoulders compared to his hams. Sign of an older deer.

2nd or 3rd set of horns. No way that his 5th or 6th set. 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 year old look like a race horse. Here is the best chart I have found taken from actual deer with known ages Deer Chart on Amazon All you guys that think that is a 4.5 year old deer need to pay the $10 and carry it with you in the field. LOL

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

It's way, way more likely that this is a 4.5 year old deer than a 2.5 year old.
2.5 is just dumb.
I'd say 4.5 on the low end, wouldn't be surprised at all if he's 5.5 or 6.5.

I mean no disrespect, but that deer is no more than 3.5 years old. I have hunted for the past 10 years on a strictly managed ranch. We are on the MLDP program and as a result we study deer a lot. If those of you who think that deer is 5.5 or 6.5 years old I surely hope you are hunting on your own property and that it is high fenced. There is not a snow balls chance in hell for deer across this state to improve in quality if they are being shot using this judgement. This deer is lucky to have that rack at this stage in his life. Let him walk for three more seasons and you will not only improve the quality of the deer where you hunt, but you will allow this guy to live long enough to develop into a nice trophy. At the ripe old age of 6.5 that is.

I think you may not understand after looking at the deer on your MLD managed property for 10 years that not all deer look the same. A 6 year old buck on a protein fed place looks like a bull calf. A 6.5 yo buck post rut on free range diet may look entirely different.

At the ripe old age of 6.5 that is. So? Sounds like you are judging on body size/fat, etc, not characteristics. If you've never seen a rutted down hill country buck, you may not know what a mature buck looks like at that time of the year in a certain area. I can tell you that I tend to see more bucks with the traditional mature buck look in South Texas than other areas. You have to think this buck has probably lost 20 pounds (or more) than he was in October. That is not a 3 year old deer.

At the ripe old age of 6.5 that is. I think this actually makes you less qualified to judge age of a typical whitetail. Just like people in Texas go up to Ohio and think every deer is old and mature because they grow much more quickly up there, tightly managed ranches aren't representative of the deer population in most parts of the state.
