That's 80% of where I hunt. Not all good. Good for the ducks I suppose.

More info.
Just a part from a Shannon Thompkins article.

""All the ramps are barricaded or blocked off, and they have officers keeping people out," Moyer said from the offices of Lake Amistad Resort, which operates on the federal property as a contracted concessionaire. "This is usually a busy time of the year for us. The weather's good and the fishing's phenomenal from late September into December. We had to refund a lot of deposits to people. People are still calling, wanting to make reservations. But we just have to turn them away; that's money out of our pockets, and it's disappointing a lot of people who made vacation plans."

Along the coast, closure of the Padre Island National Seashore has left anglers without access to Bird Island Basin, effectively denying angler/boaters access to the heart of the Upper Laguna Madre.

Shutdown of all 560 national wildlife refuges, 18 of them in Texas - all but about 300 of the 3,500 employees of the national refuge system have been furloughed - also has reduced access to fishing areas along the Texas coast, with ramps and shoreline access at popular refuges such as Anahuac, San Bernard and Brazoria closed.

Texas hunters also have seen their opportunities reduced. Hugely popular archery deer hunts on Aransas and Hagerman national wildlife refuges have been suspended. Holders of permits to bow-hunt deer or hunt small game such as squirrels on Big Thicket National Preserve and Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge are prohibited from entering the areas. Those who violate the refuge closures face federal citations for trespassing or entering a closed area and could be fined as much as $200."

200 dollars sounds like a great deal for hunting. Just stay in there until the shut down stops. lol.
