Going to the 4 Pines Ranch in Mexia, TX early next year. Have heard some great reviews. How's the hog population down there? Has anyone been to the ranch and had success as of late?

welcome to the forum JHOG.

There are no shortage of hogs in that area. I'm sure you'll have shooting opportunities. They might have to be at night though in this heat.

Matt's a good guy, we didn't hog hunt there but my son killed a ram and there were pig hunters there who had killed hogs the day before. He treated us good and seemed to have his stuff in order.

Thanks guys, I'm new to hog hunting although I have been a whitetail hunter for the last 12 years. It is life. Can't wait to get my first hog and see beautiful Texas.
