I acquired a couple of sections of scaffolding a while back. I have planned for the last two years to do something with them and this year I did.
the brush has gotten out of control this year, so I decided to get above it.
Here's the blind that needed elevating.

I needed to build a deck for it to sit on, so I hit CL and found a truck load of recycled pressure treated deck wood.

I built the outside frame for the deck, cut the top deck planks to length, and attached the two outside boards so that it would sit on top of the scaffolding. I loaded everything into the truck and off to the farm we went.

The psycho nut bags have always been there. They just get better press now.

Next I set the scaffolding up and put the deck frame on it.

Next came laying the rest of the deck boards and screwing them down.

Here I attached board underneath to keep the deck from flipping off for any reason. I also set a T-post on the corner to keep it from tipping.

Ok, here's the blind and stand next to each other. Time to go ask the neighbor with the front end loader for a hand.

I really wish I had some pics from us loading it onto the platform, but I was VERY busy making sure the blind didn't fall off the forks. Here it is set up on the deck. I attached the ladder to the side of the deck and bolted the blind down.

This blind started life as a water tank and has a flange all around the base. This made it easy to bolt down.
Here you can see the bolts through the deck. I also used lags that didn't go all the way through as added security.

All done now, so I climbed my big butt up to have a look.

Again, I wish I had take the phone up with me to show you the view. It is very nice. For some perspective, I was smart enough to take a pic from the feeder to the blind. This will give you an idea.

Total build cost for the stand was less than $100.
I'm pretty proud.
Thanks for looking!!
Matt

Thanks for the post. I been thinking of using two sections for mine. Inspiring!

That's awesome. But I see greatness to come. Build 4 walls and a roof off that platform and you have a king sized deer blind!
