I have always done business with these guys in the past and never had an issue until today. I see on their website that they have Seekins uppers so I get on there and order one. At no point during the ordering process does it tell me they are out of stock. Two hours later I get this email....

Yep they dont have realtime inventory. They have done that to me the last three times ive tried to use them.

And that is why I never order online with them. You get better deals too by calling and asking to talk to Skylar. I don't fault SWFA on this one. There are only a handful of sites in their market that use live inventory.

Yea they canceled it for me no problem BUT there should be a notice at checkout telling you to call and confirm inventory. I visited at least a dozen or more sites today ALL which had live inventory. I found another place that had them in stock and I chose SWFA because their price was better. By the time I had this whole thing figured out the other place had sold out. I like SWFA and recommend them on a regular basis. Their prices are some of the best you can find and their shipping is lightning fast.

SWFA please add this to the checkout process. It will prevent pissed off customers like myself. If its already posted somewhere on you site then make it bigger.

Ya he tried to explain it a few time and I tried it numerous times . He said put the code in on first available option to do so then again on same page with payment to enter the the other code . I've tried a dozen times . Maybe cause I am on my phone I don't know . But it kept telling me u can't use two codes at once and would delete the other code . I just call to save the hassle

ALWAYS call and talk to Skylar. I have never been able to get both codes to work together either. Its almost just as fast to phone it in to him anyway. Nothing but great service from SWFA for me.

No. You can order online but Skylar gives you a discount that is basically free shipping and no tax if you call him directly. You can always order online and just pay full price if you really want to.

And in regards to live inventory, no not everyone does that. Try ordering through Optics Planet sometime and get a backorder. Good luck with that. I don't think all you anti 2A supporters favorite optics dealer Cameralandny has live inventory either.

You young whippersnappers are spoiled, I remember when you used to have to place orders from a paper catalog in the mail and pray. Slow down and enjoy the ride.

just placed a order from Optics Planet said instock and shipped same day. free shipping no tax and extra 5% off. i never had bad luck with them but i know many have.

Skylar is great and i have always had great service from him. just wish i could figure out the online double discount thing bec he is a busy man and sometimes cant get him right away.

Absolutely nothing.

But he does have to pay state income tax. Therefore a portion of every dollar you spend in NY is going to fund an anti-gun government.

No matter how nice of a guy Doug it is not worth me compromising my values to deal with him.

When I bought thru Skylar he got me the 8% (tax free) discount code applied but I did not receive the requested free shipping. PM'ed Skylar and he said he would have customer service reverse the shipping charge.....received the scope but the shipping was still on my invoice....sent a comment to them over a week ago but no reply as of yet....I am not complaining just stating my experience....
