Someone answer me a question. Isn't steel what you can case harden? So is that a steel upper and lower? Weight would be interesting, but I'm thinking of components to prevent excessive wear between two hard surfaces (BCG and receiver). Case hardened revolvers and 1911's look good to me. This thing? It had better really shoot.

It weighs 8.5 lbs.
You can case harden lower carbon steel and iron.

I saw those at the Tulsa gun show also and I think they are ugly, but you see a little of everything at that show

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they have ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. 40th

I have always been a fan of Turnbull Manufacturing Company. They make some incredible big-bore lever action rifles. But I believe they may have "drank the kool-aid" during the most recent AR craze. This is quite possibly the ugliest rifle ever built....and an absolute insult to the traditional/vintage firearms industry, as well as the AR industry. http://www.turnbullmfg.com/store.asp?pid=37491&catid=19872I am a big fan of both traditional firearms as well as modern AR's. However, there are just certain things you are never supposed to mix.....and I believe case-hardened AR's with wood furniture fall into that category. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??    Looks nice to me.

I always thought the M1941 Johnson was ugly:  It's the pot-bellied pig of US small arms.

I always thought those Ruger M77s with the skeleton synthetic stock were about as ugly as it gets, but all the budget bolt actions anymore are pretty ugly.

I agree it's ugly. Looks like Doug just trying to make a buck off of the tactical craze-and I'm sure he will. But that's like breeding a horse to an ostrich. It never should have been done.
