This solution has worked great for me:
For all you Ranger owners, how to eliminate the dust in the cab problem:
Buy some high density foam like you would use for a sofa. Get a piece long enough for the width of the seat. Cut it about 4" wide.
Stuff it in between the opening of the bottom seat cushion and back cushion. This is where most of the dust comes up in the cab from.
Half windshield with the curved lip on the top is definitely the best setup. This will work with a full windshield as well.
Back windshield.
This will eliminate the dust in the cab problem.
If you have a crew, use the foam in the back crew seat, not the front.

Just take the windshield off imo.... but that does sound like a good idea

It works. And you don't freeze your butt off on cold days. Just take the windshield off imo.... but that does sound like a good idea

Pitchfork: We have put rear windshields (for lack of a better term) on our Rangers and we use folding windshields up front so we can run them half down or all the way up in cold weather but we still get some dust. I never thought of sealing the gap between the seat and the back cushion but will try it Thanks for the idea.

Pitchfork: We put a 4" x 4"x length of the seat piece of high density foam between the seat and the back rest yesterday on both Rangers and I was amazed at how much it seemed to help. Thanks, great idea..oh ya and my wife says thanks too

No. My Polaris is at the ranch which is about 4.5 hours away. I'm gonna take a picture of the setup when I'm back at the ranch in a couple weeks. Maybe gaharris can post a picture before then? Have any pictures of the set up?

I will take pics this week as we are going hog hunting today. Simple but it sure seems to work. Ya really dont need any insturctions, just buy a 4"wide x 4" thick piece of fairly dense foam rubber the length of your seat and just stuff it in between the back rest and the bottom seat cushion to block off that open space. I went to JoAnn Fabrics and bought some green foam (all they had) I had to get two pices for each Ranger as they would only cut it to 24" length so I just used two pieces

I bought this foam from JoAnn Fabrics, they wouldnt cut me a piece the full length of my seat so i bought two pieces and they fit fine. Each piece is 4"x4"x36". Only color they had, but I can tell you it worked very well. Almost eliminated my dust issue. By the way I am running a half winshield and full rear windshield.

A swimming noodle also works - just cut to fit seat width and stuff under seat back.

Here is a link to a company that will make you a metal dust barriers to put in. Not as cheap as the fix listed above but works also. You have to scroll down the page to find it. Guys is really nice guy who owns the company. Easy to deal with over the phone or via emails also. I bought the floor boards from him and will get the metal dust barrier if or when I get a new Ranger. If not I will put them on my old one. http://www.atvguardshop.com/5352.html
