I have been told abvout people making blinds out of those big clear plastic water totes with the metal "cage" around them. It sounds like a good idea so I went & bought one ($40). I know the idea is to cut the jug in half & raise it up but I'm not exactly sure what to do. Has any one done this that might can tell me how you did it and offer some advice. The demisions are 36"x46"x48" (LxWxH) here is a picture of what I'm working with. http://www.jmesales.com/Gallery.aspx?itemid=122626 http://www.bulksystemsinc.com/img/ecobulk.jpg

They were cut 3/4 off the top and they were set in side a metal frame with square tubing for the legs, The door was a a little small and yes it was tight but i am a big boy but i could still get around and see, it was cut so that the metal was the gun rest all the way around.

Just bought one from a guy in Euless for $50. There is another guy selling them for $60. Both are on craigslist.

The guy is right off 67 & loop 245 (hwy 59) next to the roadway. From I30 exit at hwy 59 & again at hwy 67 go east. he is right next to the roadway. from 59 take the loop towards I30 and exit at 67, turn right (east). He's easy to find if you are familair with the area.

I searched craigslist and didn't see any for $50 or $60. Could you post the link to the craigslist link? I want 4 or 5 of those for cisterns. Thanks.

Most that I have seen have been used for Caustic. But I do alot of work around water treatment plants. We have a couple of them to hold corn.

The last ones I saw on craigslist had been used for a tequila factor and they were selling them for 40.00 a pop. I posted a link a couple of weeks ago on the trader section. Maybe the link is still on there.

Me too. I'm small, and just can't imagine using one of those for a blind.
