I nearly screwed up a few weeks ago. When I'm down at the ranch I've always got a side arm on me. You get used to the feel of it after a while. I had ran to the store/gas station & was in a hurry to get there & back. I nearly walked inside strapping a snub-nose 38+P. I caught myself at the door & quickly walked back to my truck & put it away. I gave myself a good butt chewing for that, could have gotten in a lot of trouble if Johnny Law was there & saw me. Whew.....

Yea after a while of wearing it you forget its even there. I don't know why but open carry is so much more comfortable than concealed carry.

Yeh it is, especially a lighter weight pistola. I'm not sure if I could ever get used to carrying around my 357 mag w/6" barrel lol, especially working & climbing around.

I carry my Glock 17 with Insight M6 light/laser on it. I forget its even there and with the light/laser and 18 rounds it is a pretty heavy gun.

Yeh, guess it will be more comfortable though when there's only 10 rounds in it....hammer

Perhaps some people need some remedial training on the "Concealed" portion of the CHL course.

Like my grandpa used to say, "You send 'em to school, buy 'em books and all they do is eat the covers off of 'em".

Thanks RWH, I was not going to mention that or what the ladies said after KRoyal walked out. Speaking of concealed carry I put money down on a S&W M19 with 6" barrel and an STI today because I want to make certain I remember that I have them on my person. I remember when Barry Switzer claimed he forgot about the pistol being in his carry-on bag at the airport. Don't think that would work for me.

Loc: Carpet One In Granbury...
I carried a 4"357 and a bunck of crap on a gunbelt for a couple of years and you do get "use" to it.

I worked a carpet store in Hurst and there was this Guy who came in for a few weeks and while he was in the store he would take his pistol out and just look at it, finly someone called the police on him they stopped him in the parking lot and just let him go.

I also had a customer in who had a .22 that folds up like a pocket knife and clipped into his pocket. I could tell it was a gun I even asked to see it. He was suprised I knew it was a gun. Is that legal?
