You may have to sacrifice brand name optics for less glass clarity
small targets out @ 300 yards 4-16 X 44 would be my choice as for brand Vortex, Millet
but thats just my opinion
check out www.opticsplanet.com

Red Field Revolution scopes are the best for the price in my opinion. They are made in the USA which is always good to know. There is also a new line of scopes by Red Field called Revenge but they are made overseas I believe and not as good as the Revolutions.

I just got the Oculus from Bass Pro and it is really clear and a good scope. I got the 4-16x44. I looked at these and the zeiss and i couldnt tell the difference in the clarity of the 2.

Take a look at the Sightron SII, Zeiss Conquest, or Burris Fullfield II.

if you can go up to 400
nothing touches the glass in it's price range and even spending more..

The glass in the Meoptas is better than the Conquests

Opticsplanet....Just FYI, they've had their fair share of negative feedback. I personally, would not use them.

Cameralandny.com or SWFA would be my choices.

Lol. All scopes look pretty good in the store dont they. Dawn and dusk is what I am concerned about. I will say that I have a $320 Alpen that I am very impressed with. 4*14*56 and it really brings in the light.Took my Luepold of my 300 for the Alpen. The luepold is now sold. It is compariable to my Zeiss.

Yep LP you are right about Optics Planet. I ordered my Alpen from them in February and I got it in September. Good thing I didnt really need it.

I actually test back to back in low to no light over several evenings.

Meopta uses the same glass (Schott) and coatings in both te 30mm and 1" tube scopes.
The latter is assembled in the US and cheaper.

I own S&B, Zeiss FL, USO, Kahles, Swarovski
The Meoptas glass is right there with them.
That is no BS
