http://aftermathgunclub.com/?p=1280Reply I get after asking about my order for some side charging uppers : Yes, I have your order pulled and set aside. We have un-able to ship any products the last 2 weeks. This was due to L.A.R. Manufacturing being acquired by Remington Arms Company LLC. The different systems have taken a bit of time to get set up for CC, shipping, billing as well as other items. We have recently got those systems in place and are hoping to resume shipping later this week. However I have to make you aware that Remington Arms Company does collect State Sales Tax from applicable states. Due to this sales tax will be added to your order. Thanks for your patience and your business, if you have any questions feel free to contact me. Sincerely, -- Zac Merkley Remington Arms Company, LLC DBA L.A.R. Manufacturing, Inc. DBA L.A.R. Because you are supposed to pay tax? Everyone was cheating the system, now the issue has been pressed and almost every major online presence charges you sales tax. You do know you are supposed to report all unpaid taxes on sales/purchases from out of state.

It has always been required for the consumer to pay tax on out of state internet / catalog purchases. Some retailers collect sales tax on out of state purchases as a convenience to the customer. The retailer must have a Texas Sales and Use tax permit to collect the tax, many do that's why you are charged sales tax. If you haven't paid sales / use tax to the state of TX on a quantity of items bought from out of state, I dang sure wouldn't mention it on a public forum. #3 ---> TX tax info

You are still required to pay tax on that electric blanket made in 1982, you bought. Even yard sales.
