Alright brethren(and sisters),

What is the biggest hog that you have ever killed? And with what? Pictures would be nice.

I shot this one a couple years ago near Freer, TX. It weighed right under 300lbs and I shot it at about 100 yards with a Winchester Model 70 7mm RemMag.

Don't know how big in lbs but here is mine

I shot a big one just 2 days ago, but I don't think he was over about 240 or so. I thought about weighing him, but didn't want to go to the trouble. Back about 25 years ago or so I shot one that, per the rancher, weighed just shy of 400 pounds. He had some serious tusks and I was going to get the head mounted till my wife said "it'll be a cold day in hell that head will ever get into my house". So I traded it to the rancher for some packaged pork and he had it mounted for his place. Biggest meanest darn thing I ever saw on the hoof.

This guy at a little over 300lbs. I shot it at about .25yds with a 357 above his left shoulder.

My buddy killed this during the Texas Big Nasty Hog Contest, He shot him with a Hoyt Bow and I was filming we were like two kids on Christmas morning when we found him. He went about 60yds and weighed in at 328lbs.

Those are some big old pigs!

Hunting by my self and he fell down a 6' creek bank so there he stayed....thats a full size Ruger Hawkeye with leupold 3-9x50 for scale.

243 hundred yard shot ran 10 yards didnt have a scale to weigh it.

A buddy and I couldn't move him or get a vehicle to him to drag him out. It took all we had just to spin him to take pics. I'm 6ft 1" 190, that Hoyt bow was 36" axle to axle. Shot him at 42 yds through the liver, only about 3" of the back of my 29" arrow was sticking out. The broadhead barely pierced his opposite side skin. I had to hold my breath to take pics, worst smelling hog I've ever encountered. It was also my 2nd bowkill of my life at the time.

2 over 300 didnt weigh them, but just the meat at proccesing was 196lb and 242lbs

I've killed some big ones, but rarely mess with them afterwards to get them weighed. It isn;t uncommon in our area to find them in the 300-400# range.

Killed with a Bear Whitetail Hunter (6 wheels). After she was gutted, skinned, beheaded, and legs cut off at the knees I took her to a processor. The carcass as received by the butcher weighed 375 pounds. He would only guess her live weight as over 500 pounds. From her nose to her butt she was 6'6" long. Killed around 1985. Long before digital cameras and photoshop.

BTW, that's not me in the pic. It's a friend that I enlisted to help me skin it down.

Mine was 250, shot ironically at 250 yards....270WSM put him down for a dirt nap!!

My hunting partner, Mike had never shot a pig and wanted to. He was hunting with a 60# longbow. I found "Rojo" in my private honeyhole. I called Mike and told him to bring some corn and his hunting kit. Went out to look the place over and kicked Rojo up out of his bed in some tall grass. He was BIG.

We put up a tree stand and 50# of corn in a pile. Mike had to put out some more corn next two days. On the third day Mike put an arrow thru Rojo's heart (literally).


We didn't have a scale big enough to weigh him. He bottomed mine out. Mike is 6'4" and in pic is 250+.

Gotta pic some where just have to find it but mine was 365 taken on the Nail Ranch when Johnny Hudman was guiding. Took it with a 7 1/2 inch Super Blackhawk in 44 Mag.

Post that big one your wife killed, that sucker was pretty dern big.

Nice Razorback off the back porch at camp cookin steaks. We didn't weigh him but maybe 250# or so. Big enough anyway.

I don't have pictures but when I was younger my Dad and I had to go pick up this huge pig that was wandering up into neighborhoods and knocking kids off their bikes wanting to be fed. We were shocked when we got there and found they had turned out a show pig several years earlier and she had been bred by a big russian boar. Her one offspring that was traveling with her had the body size of a cow and stood above my hip. He was too big to weigh when we butchered him but mama weighed 450. I'll have to see if we can find those pictures somewhere.

Biggest one I've ever killed was 275 dressed, it was a boar. A man that was with me said he wanted to have it processed. I tried to talk him out of it but he would not listen to me. Took it to Carrizzo and they agreed to process it but told him he was crazy, and I agreed.

I guesstimated this one at about 220Lbs. I shot it with a .303 Enfield. It was too heavy to drag, I had to bring my cleaning kit and ice chest to it and just skin and cut it up where it dropped.

i agree, i guestimated a hog to be 200 only to go 135 on the scale this one went 175

My cousin shot. 240lb sow and 30 minutes later i shot a 330 lb sow ill see if i can find the pics
