Anyone know where to get a decent leather duck strap for a decent price?
Started hunting public on my own this year and it'd be nice to keep 'em outta the mud.

When I was a kid we used to fashion them out of shoe laces. Were not fancy but served the purpose, and they were cheap. Interesting to think back on things you did when you were young and didn't have to worry about "correct" steel shot or bismuth or the actual shot size and choke and whether you had the same calls that some dude on TV used. Just took what you had or could borrow and make do the best you could. Had enough clothes on that you resembled the Michelin Man, because there was no way I had money for fancy duck filled coats and I don't remember much about thermal and goretex in the 60's. Wish I could have that much fun now. Rant is over.

Started hunting public on my own this year and it'd be nice to keep 'em outta the mud. I dont recommend one. When they get wet, and it is below freezing, they stiff'n up real bad and wont set tight around their necks. I would just go with a nylon one. Alot cheaper as well.

I got one from judge here on the forum last year. He made it out of para cord. It's really nice and I like it a lot. I think it was around $20 or so

Yeah, don't listen to me. I'm just an idiot.
Lol. Duckbill that was funny! The dude up top has already taken lots of bone before this deer, both mule and whitetail.

OK, so I like to sleep past 6 when certain people think it's ok to text everyone he knows. Dang Run and Gun.....hope you know I'm living vicariously through you guys. I haven't had time to even get out yet. Thanks for the kind words guys. Everything that I make is make with one purpose, and that is to make it to last for generations. I only use the best components to make my products and offer a lifetime guarantee. I recently released some new products and updated my website. I also have some other products coming out soon including another strap design and leather care products. Thanks for checking out my website. Get those orders in soon. I'm staring to get really really busy as the season gets cranking. Right now wait times are manageable, but will certainly increase the closer we get to Christmas. Hope everyone is having a great season so far, John

Those are some great looking straps. I am fortunate to have a cousin in Oklahoma that makes great straps as gifts. Custom the way to go!
