You cannot take the logo off the side of the gun, it is illegal to do so, just like you cannot remove the serial number... Sorry.
What full length guide rod are you using?

You cannot resell or gift the gun after you take off to logo and most gunsmiths will not do it...

Ok, I'll buy into that for a second but you can change the slide out on a 1911 to one that is blank with nothing on it, and that is perfectly fine. What is the difference? The serial # will still be on the frame no plans of removing it, just like an AR.
Guide Rod is a wilson combat for officers model.

You can do what you want with the slide, but don't file the serial number/brand/importer from the frame. Like you said, the slide is interchangeable

You cannot resell or gift the gun after you take off to logo and most gunsmiths will not do it... With respect, and I don't even pretend to be a lawyer, please reference this. The law on removing markings regarding the owner applies to serial number only. I see a lot of people reference the logo/ name law but that is how it relates to an importer or manufacture not the owner. As to what most gunsmiths do, well can you give me the name of one? Anyone resident in TX that wants to gift me a gun that still has the serial number but not the logo can PM and I will take the chance.

Did you have to modify the Wilson combat guide rod or your amigo slide at all when installing this.

yeah I call bull on the changing the print of manufacturer. I get the serial number but once it is your possession I don't see why it would matter. you track by the serial number so as long as that is intact your golden. you can spray paint guns and coat them with all sorts of stuff that covers emblems. that number is the key
Sombody smells like fried borritos...

Lay some 320 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper on a sheet of glass, wet the paper, then run the slide in a forward and back motion like it was cycling over the paper until the logo is history.
Then do the other side of the slide, so they match.
Cerracote, following instructions.

What full length guide rod are you using?
Where did that nugget of nonsense come from?

Where did that nugget of nonsense come from? When the boys get all settled in around the campfire, they pass gossip around just as bad as the girls at the beauty parlor.

Epic Fail #1
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

You really gonna cerakote it? It sure is purdy like it sits now Kinda what I thought. The Metros usually have nice finishes. I would add a magwell and ambi safety and call it good.
