I'm thinking about getting a lease at the Spike Box Ranch. Can anyone tell me anything about that ranch?

I heard the guy who was running it handed it down to his son last year and he pissed a bunch of hunters off. I heard he increased prices greatly and is doing something goofy with the feeding if I remember right he fills the feeders and charges the hunters yearly for it. There was a thread about this place a month or so ago. Good luck and be careful who you lease from!

All I hear about the SB is bad, too much $, for not enough product. They had 1 really good year several years ago and think they have something great. That area is stricken with drought, numbers are down and prices are up. Ask them why so many hunters left this year.

I know the price goes up 5% every year that you stay on the lease. That's why I passed on a spot glad I did now

And partying. Took my boys there for a 2 day guided hunt and was told to stay out of the billiard/tv room because the Owner (son) was going to be there drinking with the ladies. Heard the next day that things got really crazy. Never been back since.
