How much of a difference is there in these bullets besides the tips?

Thinking about loading these for my 7mm08

Really not much, some will shoot the TSX a little better than the TTSX and the TTSX seems to open a little better, I would run the 120's in the 7mm/08.

Yeah that's what I plan to use, the 120s.

Been using the 110 TTSX BT in my 270 for 3 years. Best killing bullet I ever used, 9 deer - not one took a step after being hit.

I have shot TSX's and now TTSX's in most of my rifles for years, from the 22-250 to the 375 H&H. In my 7mm-08 I started with the 140 gr. TSX. I used them on everything from javelinas to antelope and black bears. When the TTSX's came out I switched to them. I have since switched to the 120 gr. TTSX's for most of my big game hunting.

All of them have shot sub-MOA in all of my rifles.

The hole on the top of the TTSX's is larger than on the TSX's, possibly allowing them to open more effectively.

250 gr 338 TSX...........225 gr 338 TTSX with tip broken off. I have personally never had a problem with the TSX's performance. Most of my kills have been DRT with them.

The TTSX has a higher BC but in the 25-06 that I load for my Game
Bio Buddy in Pleasanton no change in impact and he gets about 1 1/2in groups at 300 yds w/both..and they all kill the begezzers
out of game..DD

I've got some 300gr TTSX 458cal that are supposedly designed to open at 1600fps for the 458 SOCOM. I've also got some 350gr TSX which I am assuming are for African game. I load both in my 458 Lott. They are both accurate, but I want to try loading the 300 TTSX to 2900fps for sort of a big game varmint load. wink

Been using the 110gr .308 TTSX in my 300 Blackout with good results on feral hogs.
They expand and penetrate quite well even at the "modest" velocities generated by the 300BO.

I used to load my 338 w/Barnes Coated 185 X bullet..w/no relief
rings..It shot 300 Win Mag Vel...1/2" groups, very little recoil.
I had really good luck w/their old projectiles w/out the rings
especially on my large caliber weapons..DD

I have shot them in my 460 WBY. They will not come apart on any N A game. There are other bullets that will do better on BG though.

I have shot both from a 223, 22-250, 243, 308, and a 7mm mag. It did not matter wich bullet hit, everything died the same.
