My nephew lives in SW Panhandle -Parmer County. He has a female that he was going to get fixed, but as life would have it...she got knocked up. The stud is one of two other Chessies he has. No chance of a stray dog.. He lives in the country and Chessies don't allow visitors. Since he doesn't know for sure which stud did the deed, he's not going to register them and just wants to give them away. (he has some great bloodlines). The catch is you'd have to drive to Friona, tx to get them. Since they wont be registered, you cant hunt test or field trial them. They will make great retrieving machines. Pups will be born this week. PM me for his phone number.

They could still run hunt tests. All one needs is a ILP number which is easy to obtain through AKC. I'm sure UKC does the same thing.

I don't think I'd do a DNA test either. Not if I were giving the puppies away. Chances are the parents probably don't have any of their health clearances.

Thanks Angie, I wasn't sure about the hunt tests. I'm not sure about health clearances. He's a farmer and hunter and not a breeder, but he has bought some great dogs. I think he bought them from a breeder in Colorado. Just putting this out there...

Accidental breedings happen all the time. You just want to find good homes for the puppies.

I am the owner of these puppies and I will post this to bring clarity. The male I have is an Akc chessie from Jodie Bonewitz www.bonewitzchesapeakebay.com. The akc female is from cur-san kennels www.cursan.com. I have never had their hips or eyes checked. For me these dogs are mainly duck hunting dogs for hunting large playa lakes in very cold temps. I have had labs and when the temps drop they quit these dogs do not. They have a really high drive and all they wanna do is retrieve. They are big, strong and tough dogs. They have been outside their entire life. They are great with my 3 small kids. I have two males and do not know which male is father is forsure and will not do a DNA test to make a few bucks. I want them to go to someone that will hunt with them and or make them a great family dog. As of sunday 19 @ 2;20 pm she has not had the pups yet. I expect 10 to 12 pups this week ranging from light brown to dark brown. I have pics I can send via picture text of the parents. These are pure blooded all American Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. If you really want one call me. I will give picks of the litter in the order that you call. I have three spoken for now. Thanks.

We all love puppy pictures.
Post up some when you get a chance.

She had a belly full. I wonder if I could sneak one into the kennel without my wife knowing?

If anyone from the DFW area is going out and wouldn't mind bring back an extra I would be very interested.
