When I get the chance to go home, I try to avoid the in-laws and hang out at my brothers house on roughly 20 acres. Although he hunts it quite a bit, the deer taken have been does and small frame bucks that the area is known for. Headed into the woods to decompress and just after 7:30 this thing stepped out. Nearly, soiled myself, but made a good shot. He's never seen or caught it on camera. Right place, right time.. I may not be on his Christmas card list next year.

My biggest before this one was 7 point that would not meet ARs here in Tx. I can't lie, I'm not an avid hunter. Although, I would love to if work permitted it. It was sheer luck, just getting out of DFW to relax, but worth every minute.
