My Dad got this buck earlier today. Buck's beams measured 20 1/8 and 20 even with a 17 3/4 inside spread. I can't remember ever seeing a spike quite like this one. Aged in at 8 1/2 plus and field dressed a whopping 98 lbs. Goat

I believe most of these contests require you to pay the
entry fee before you harvest the deer. Los Cazadores and the
local Comal County Big Buck Contest do, anyway. Had we seen
this deer prior to today, I would have paid the fees and been
up to speed. I have never seen a deer with spikes like this... and we had not seen this deer prior to today. Thats just how
it goes sometimes.
