Well its been a long time coming, but thanks to GUTIT (Stronghold Construction) we finally have a pond/duck hole!

The main pond is separated from the shallow flooded duck hole (.5-2 ft deep) by a 8-10 ft wide levee. I have a 6 in pipe to drain the duck hole when season is over or when i want to plant groceries, mess with it. When its time to flood, I will pump out of the big pond. The big pond is a little over .5 acres and ranges from 4 ft to 12 ft deep. The duck hole is a litle under 1/4 acre (I want to shoot em close) woot Im not much of a writer so here are some pics..Going out to plant millet tonight!

Before:

South side now .5-2 ft deep (rain pending)

Bid pond previously .15 acres 6 ft mud hole covered with crap trees

During

Big ole loader

Dozer in action on the main pond

After

Main Pond

View from the levee on the duck pond (taken in the same spot as the before of the main pond where you can only see trees)

View from the north

Duck hole (those red oaks are all ready droppin acorns!!) Blind will be in the corner

Now all we need is 1.5 million gallons of water. COME ON RAIN!!!!

now is the perfect time to do the tank work. Unfortunately, our track loader is back in the shop.

it's hard to tell from pictures but how big is it???

Looks like 2-3 acres at most?

Looks like a real good little duck hole! smile

And how far from the house is it??? grin

Looks good, Stephen ... The best pics will be with your first nice group of ducks on a strap during season.

Cappy ... At my side for thirteen years, in my heart forever.

I'm so jealous. I think I am going to move in with you during duck season.

COME ON RAIN!!!!

A hunt based on only trophies being taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be,time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live there. -Fred Bear

Stephen, I truly enjoyed meeting your family and being blessed to work for you. I hope you enjoy our hard work. I look forward to the invite when duck season arrives. Put up some pics of the levee with the pipe, that was a bear. Happy hunting and we will talk soon on the other projects.
