Ok, so i listened to what everybody was saying on the mojo dove thread, and made one of those pvc trees w/ 6 clip on doves and one mojo at the top just a couple hours ago. I'm sitting here watching it out the front window, and the "flapping" wings are making the stationary birds look like they are having a seizure on the fake branches by moving the whole tree. My question to yall is if i should worry about that at all; or, if so, what do you recommend to stiffen the tree up some?

I'm not sure it matters. I'd give it a try as it is.

Thats what i'm thinking, I might just run a piece of rebar up the main pice to help make it a little more solid. Just not sure if that will fix it. Thanks Al

I'm gonna make one as well but going to make it out of rebar. That way I don't have to worry bout breaking the PVC putting it in the dry hard ground.

I’m not convinced a dove tree with mojos on it are better than just mojos on the ground, it is birds feeding you want to simulate, and them birds are on the ground. As long as the mojos can be seen (low cut/shredded crop/grass), I would think the normal stake the mojo comes with is best.

I dont know if it will work but possibly try spaying some of the can of foam inside the PVC to stiffin it up a little. BigJake.

I put one out last season during a morning hunt and it would draw them in for a ways, but right before they would get in to shooting range they would flare.

I had my mojo tree up while a buddy had 2 on the ground 200 yds away. I had to shoot at his misses. I had a few come in, but they were piling on top of him. I used it once near a roost and did get a lot of late eve action.

Made this one last year out of sch. 40 PVC. It's got 1-1/2" base (trunk) pipe, and 3/4" branches. Works like a charm for me without any vibrating.

I had the same problem, I made mine from 1" PVC and had to run a piece of 3/4" inside of it to stiffen it up. Or maybe it was 1 1/4" and 1", whatever, just put the next smaller size inside of it spanning the first joint or two.

Mine would come in from a long ways and head right over the top of it. About 5-10 yards out they would break and put on the gas, but by then it was too late. See pic above.
