My buddy and I went hog hunting last night with Sabine Bottom Boy (John) near Greenville, Tx. Man what a great time! We met up with John at a gas station and we were off to his property. When we got to the ranch, John showed us his night vision set up then we were off to hit the feeders.

We walked to the first feeder and after about 5 minutes, John spots a young boar walking towards the feeder. My buddy James, gets setup on the shooting sticks and takes a shot with the AR – he misses!

John came up with the game plan for us to count down and both shoot if we see more hogs.

After some stalking and waiting, we finally see a lone boar at a feeder. We counted down and shot. Boar is DRT! John walks up to the boar and says he’s got some good cutters. My eyes lit up when I saw for myself.

We dragged the boar onto the trailer and noticed that one of the bullets had grazed the hog and made a deep cut but not enough to take him down. Good thing we both shot! Didn't have a scale so we don't know how much he weighed.

First time my buddy has had a chance to shoot a hog. I’ve hunted with him before but he hasn’t had a chance to shot at hogs until now.

John is a great guy and thanks for everything! Definitely recommend for anyone to give it a try. John’s rates are pretty reasonable to boot!

Thanks for reading.

Some of the pics are too bloody so I’ll hold back from posting those.

C'mon man, show em. We reach into their body cavities and pull their insides out. It's not too gory for us.

I posted this before and I guess someone didn't like what I said because they somehow deleted it. So here it is again. Nice job on a very nice hog. Also, it sound like someone needs to resight their gun in if there was one miss and on grazed pig. JMHO. I guess that statement is why my last post was wiped out.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

Have you ever shot anything with night vision?? Its not the same as day scope, it does take a little getting used to!

Not trying to question you or your eqiupment. Just seems odd that both hogs got either missed or just nicked by one gun. I guess someone cant shot, if your gun is on. Did you double check it?

My buddy missed the first pig, he doesn't hunt or shoot much, that maybe why.

I check my guns before I take any of my hunters to the woods for a hunt, so yes. I guess you have never missed man I wish I was as good as you. Teach me. LOL

I never said, I have never miss. But I will say I have never missed twice in a roll. And definitely not by that much. Like I said, I am not trying to ruffle your feathers, or question your abililty to guide or be a good outfitter. However, I do know that a gun can be knocked off center sometimes and things happen that are out of our control. A matter of fact I was even thinking of booking a hunt with you myself. Don't know if that is such a good idea now that your pissed at me. LOL. And as far as missing twice I guess anyone can have a bad day. That booth guys were out in the field having fun is drealy all that matters.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.
