Here we go again! I haven't seen any posts on this subject in a while. Academy has 40-lb corn for $4.99. Dick's has it for $4.49, I think. Has anyone seen it any cheaper? Anyone want to guess what the prices will be this year?

Academy has the normal price of over $5.80 a 40 pound bag in Burleson. Which Academy did you see for $4.99?

Probabably gonna be a little high. Bad weather this spring kept alot of farmers from getting crops in. Not much corn around north Texas and what there is isnt all that good. I buy it bulk and its alot cheaper that way.

Jefferson Tx feed was $8. for 50s and Marshal walmart has 40s for $4.47

I wish I could touch it for that cheap. Here it ranges from $6.50 to $9.00 (50#). Our Walmart quit selling corn for some reason.

Dicks sporting goods has 40# bags for 4.49 The corn is really clean as well. Not like that trash at walmart with all the stems and dirt.

To help with comparisons
40# at 5.00 = 50# at 6.25
I had a guy I work with argue with me that a 50#/6.00 bag was not a better deal than a 40#/5.00.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

$5.60 per 50# triple-cleaned at Producer's Co-op in Bryan
$4.47 per 40# @ wal-mart, pretty clean but has alot of black kernals in it, also quite a few sunflower seeds mixed in; but that gives the birds something too
$6.00 per 50# Jacoby's Feed in Melvin, good and clean also
