ULTIMATE WATERFOWLER’S WEEKEND

Kent Outdoors will be running guided hunts for 15-20 customers on Sat. and another 15-20 hunters on Sunday.

There will be 3 hunters per guide. Hunts will be in Texas and Oklahoma. Please let me know ahead of time if you have a current Oklahoma Hunting License!

Friday evening people can start showing up. At this time I am not currently set up for Lodging but, People are more than welcome to get a hotel in Denison, or can camp out on my property next to the house, or I have a large open room upstairs in my house if people want to stay.

Saturday Morning:
5:00 a.m. We will have a short meeting in my Garage/Barn. I will line out each group with their guide. Paperwork will be filled out (release forms), etc. I will have Coffee, drinks, donuts, etc. for people to snack on, and take with them out hunting.

Everyone will leave out with their guides at 5:30 am (roughly) Shooting time will be roughly around 7:00 a.m.

Here is the info on Saturday January 8, 2011:
Shooting Time: 7:00am (roughly)
Sunrise: 7:30am
Sunset: 5:36pm

Everyone will be expected to start packing up their gear (decoys, blinds, etc.) and be back to the Ranch House by 11:00 so that we can Take Pictures. Keep birds separated and then get ready to head to the church for Lunch and seminars.

12:00 Doors will open at the Church to start letting people in. Depending on the number of people, will determine if we are in the Fellowship Hall or the Gym; (Both have been reserved for the event).

12 – 1:00: Meet and Greet…

1:00 Preacher Blesses the food
1:00 Food will be Served (Wayne Orchard and Robert Jones will be in charge of food / Cooking)

1:30 Preacher get up and talk for a couple minutes

1:45 J.J. Kent will get up and speak.

2:00 Duck Unlimited will get up and Speak

2:30 Delta Waterfowl will get up and Speak

3:00 Duck Calling Seminar

3:30 Canada Goose Calling Seminar

4:00 Snow Goose/Speck Calling Seminar

4:30 Raffle prizes will be given away.

4:45 Dismiss Everyone

5:00 Everyone heads back to the Ranch, and will Hang out / or head to their hotels…etc to get rest / what ever.

5:15 Those that want to Hog hunt will be taken out to their blinds

11:00 p.m. Hog Hunters will be picked up from the blinds

12:00 p.m. Hope everyone is asleep!

Cost:
For one day hunt: $150.00
For Two Day hunt: $300.00
Deposits are required to hold your spot. Deposit is 50% (non-refundable) Once I have your deposit in hand I will add your name to the list. (First come, first served)
Those that want to Hog Hunt: Cost: $50 per evening (one pig) (limit 4 hunters Friday Night / 4 hunters Saturday Night)

Ultimate Waterfowl Weekend Lunch and Seminar
Adults: $30 (Advanced Tickets: $20 Before December 1st)
Kids (Under the age of 17): $10 (Advanced Tickets: $5 Before December 1st)

** If you are paying for the guided hunt the lunch/seminars is FREE**

Ya'll, just wanted to touch base...

Several deposits are filterin' in...

One thing I wanted to add...I have had a few people ask if they could bring their kid...

If you would like to bring your kid (under the age of 16) The cost will be $75 for the kid per day. (feel free to post up or pm me with any questions!)

Also, I have talked to several "Professional" duck and goose callers, and working out the details of them coming in for the event.

I have also talked to ESPN-Outdoors, and it looks like they will be doing a story on the event...I am trying to get one of their writers to come out for Sat and/or Sunday and follow a group out and do a story on their hunt!

I Have also talked to Cabelas this weekend, and they will be sending a couple of their employees up for the event. Cabelas also said that they will bring merchandise up to the event for give-aways!!!

Several of the items that will be give-aways for the event will include: Mossy Oak Camo items / Buck Gardner Calls / New Pro Series Tanglefree Decoys / and more to come...

Also, Several organizations plan on coming out to show you what they are up to...

The more people I talk to, and the more people that talk to me the more excited I get...

Anyway it sounds like paradise and I want to be there for both days... When do deposits have to be in by?

Just got the E-mail that the Regional Director of Delta Waterfowl will be attending the event...

He has said that him or another Delta waterfowl Person will be giving a seminar on what is going on with the "ducks" and what Delta waterfowl is doing to help out duck numbers and why it is important to join Delta Waterfowl...

Another reason not to miss the event!

This weekend is the event!

A few things have changed...but the long short is:
Everyone is welcome to meet up here on Friday afternoon/evening. I can handle 5-10 people in my office...and I have a cut rate with the best western in Denison (10 minutes away) twin queen size beds for $69 a night!!

We will be in groups of 2-4 and hunt several different bodies of water around Hagerman refuge. You will have opportunities at ducks and geese. (as we have shot both on several hunts lately)

I have several openings left for Sat. and a couple open for Sunday.

I think we are planning a cook out on Sat. night...So if you want to bring something to cook or donate...bring it!

Looks to be a good weekend right before the front hits on Monday!

If you want to hunt them, I have four blinds set up. 2 box blinds can hold 2 people, then I have a tripod and a pop-up.

I will let you hunt them for "FREE" this time... (First come first serve) (obviously, free if you come on the duck hunt)

Dang it. I totally forgot that this is this weekend. I didn't have it on my calendar.

Man who is that tough dude in the shorts!! Its been cold the last few days in Weatherford only imagine way North in your country.

I have a couple of questions I have a group of guys that might be interested.

1)Is there any problem with leaving after lunch on sat or sunday? I have a couple guys that have to work.

2) Is there any problem keeping my group together 2-4 guys?

3) Is the hog hunting bow or rifle?

4) Is there a place close by to bring an RV?

Answer - No problem

Answer - Bow, Rifle, Shotgun, pistol

Answer - yes, I have a place to park one...I don't have hook ups, but have power, you can run extension cord, and I have water. (don't know much about what you need)

Those that want to come up Friday...

You will meet at 574 Georgetown Road. I will have a sign out front saying "THF get together"

Just pull up front of the office...(I will have a tire over our water valve in the front yard) Please don't block the gates...

If you are staying here, Please bring: sleeping bag, cot, etc. I have a bathroom, but no shower.

You are welcome to come up anytime after 3:00 p.m.
