Hey yall, just thought id share some pics from the king ranch! It was a day and a half free hunt with my father in law! Thank God for Al Boenker insurance!! we had a great time! I killed 1 Grandaddy bull Nilgai, 1 cow Nilgai, 1 Bobcat, 1 coyote, 1 hog, and 2 Javelinas with my bow!! i was just as pumped about the javis with my bow as the bull! LOL I had never seen a javelina or nilgai before this hunt. only have the pics of the nilgai, sorry guys. My father in law killed a cow, 5 hogs, a coyote, and a javi. My first personal (big-game) hunt in two years. Im used to watching you folks shoot  We had a blast! Thanks again to Al Boenker insurance The guide said my bull is in the top 3 out of 80+ bulls in the last 3 years hope yall enjoy JJ French   was a lil burnt  Was actually shootin at a javi in the woods, but it still looked cool  caracara   me and my father in law  I spurred this one to death!! What pastures did you hunt? Did you take the Nilgai from the truck or spot n' stalk? What caliber and how far off?

What pastures did you hunt? Did you take the Nilgai from the truck or spot n' stalk? What caliber and how far off?
I hunted Al Boenker's lease in the Norias division. I killed the cow by spot and stalk and the bull from the jeep. I sot the cow with a 180 grain core-lokt 30-06 at about 150-175 off of some shootin sticks and I killed the Bull at about the same distance with a .257 WEATHERBY MAG.

That a great pic of the Javelina... Looks like you had a great time.. Good Job... the javelina in the pic is about 40yds past me. The javi that im actually aiming at is 25 yards into the trees

Great Photos! And now you are in the fraternity of Nilgai hunters. I know it was exciting. We do at least one hunt a year and sometims two. Every time we meet the guides it's like we've never been before. The adrenalin rush lasts the entire time...not to mention you step into a history book when you hunt the King Ranch.
Your bull is super nice. Looks like he's got some age on him by the looks of his horns, not to mention size. Their venison is "very" deliciious.
