American Disability Association Fishing Derby, (February 22nd-23rd 2007)
Participants: COA will assist with a fishing derby for physically disabled children and adults. Last year 500 disabled persons participated.
Location: Spring Lake Park, City of Texarkana, Texas.
Activities: Spring Lake will be stocked with trout provided by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Arkansas Fish and Game Commission. Fishing poles and bait will be provided for participants. Volunteers will be available to assist participants in catching and cleaning the fish. hing derby for physically disabled children and adults. Last year 500 disabled persons participated..

March 17th 2007 Shore Line clean up Lake Wright Patman
We will be assisting US Army Corps of Engineers and the Boy Scout’s of America wit a shore line clean up at Lake Wright Patman Lunch will be served to all scouts and others volunteer’s by the COE

April 14th 2007 Take a special someone Fishing
COA and The City of Texarkana AR weed and seed program will be hosting a fishing derby for fifty special persons at Bramble Park. Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will stock the pond with catfish and furnish the prizes at no charge so that all will catch some fish If you would like to volunteer call for more info (903) 671-2437

Who: COA/U. S. Army Corps of
Engineers

What: 5 th Annual Youth Deer Hunt

When: January 19th and 20th, 2008

Where: Redwater, TX, Clear Springs ATV Area, FM 991S, Lake Wright Patman

Why: The Goal of COA is to encourage the development of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-assurance to all participants. COA is a non-profit organization that has been organized to provide persons with disabilities and youth the opportunity to experience the outdoors without limitations.
Open to All Youth 16 years of age or younger at no charge
For information and to register call Dearil Jackson
at (903) 671-2437 or email [Email]sectco@aol.com.[/Email]
50 youth will be able to participate in this event along with a parent or guardian.
25 youth will be drawn for Saturday and 25 youth will be drawn for Sunday.
If you wish to volunteer to help with this hunt, please
contact Inez Jackson at (903) 671-2437 for information
