I thought it would be interesting to list the Texas counties you have seen Mountain lions in to get an unscientific idea of their range. LOL - no black cats please.

Where have you seen them and how many have you seen?

I will go first.......

Upton county - 2 sightings.

3 sighting's 1 in Glasscock County, 1 in Borden County and 1 in Howard county. We currently have 3 traps out for cats on the big ranch all baited with live goats.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

The guy I know that owns 45K acres in Pecos Cnty on the border of Terrell County says he lost count of how many he has seen and/or killed out there since he was a boy.
We keep our eyes peeled big time out there. I wanna shoot one bad. We had a pile of skinned foxes about 50 yards from our camp last time we were down there disappear over night. 4 or 5 carcasses just gone. Not sure if it was a cat but don't know what else it could have been.

I've seen two in Brewster County, one live and one dead on my friend's tailgate shortly after he shot it.

That cat better bring a pair of side cutters with him because that's the only way he's going to get close to them goat's.

Seen one driving through Waller County off in the distance walkin through a field. It was very big. You could clearly see it from a faraway distance and I am positive it was one because of its long tail. People have said to have seen em on my lease in kinney county.

1 sighting 3 weeks ago in Presidio county just outside Redford at 30 yards stalking my guide as he was coming down the mountain.

Another sighting in Hudspeth county northwest of Sierra Blanca last winter.

And one more sighting in Terlingua , Brewster county, last year and tracks found in far east El Paso county but no confirmed sighting yet on that one.
