I say this with hesitation, but hopefully they find a few dead dove, geese or ducks on the property, as a result of the poisoning. Then the Feds can step in a give this idiot a real arse ripping.
What the hell was this moron thinking??? hammer

wow... really irresponsible. Especially considering the LEGAL methods that are available to dispose of hogs (namely US!)

That is one person that gets what he/she deserves. All they needed to do is post free hog hunting and there would be hundreds of hog hunters willing to help. I for one.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

I hear ya! The whole reason for getting the lease was to teach my daughter about the outdoors and hunting.. and it is a bummer to have this happen right before the season.. Kind of sours the whole thing. Well, at least we have some fish in the stock tanks..

How far are y'all away? Their recommendation is just 3 to 4 mile radius. A buck might travel furtherin the rut but probably not by the time he is going to die.

"As an agency, we are advising people who live within a 3-4 mile radius of the area not to eat deer meat as a precaution, as we cannot guarantee its safety," Hare said.

I think it was just south of Carbon but contact Michael Hare with the Texas Agricultural Extension office at 512-475-3305.

We need to notify the federal fish and wildlife office. I am sure a duck or 2 was or will be poisoned.

Bound to be some cranes eating that too.

Everyone involved should be reimbursed by the moron for the loss of the hunting season.

I guarantee you that anything that has touched the Temik will not be walking around to shoot. It will be Dead Right There.

I hunt just south of Carbon. It would be nice if they would tell us where it is. However, I agree...if they ate it 2 weeks ago....they are rotting by now. I wonder what they did to the field, to make sure that all the corn was removed.

From the Deer section:

"This is from the Mayor of Eastland posted on our local message board this afternoon. I know some people were wondering the location:

I just talked to Michael Hare with the Ag Extension Service in Austin.
He asked me to pass this information along:
The area in question is a five mile circle with the center being at the intersection of State Hwy 206 and FM569 south of Cisco. He said the venison from within this five mile circle should not be eaten. He is waiting on a press release to go out, but asked me to spread this information."

WE SHOULD BE OKAY WHERE WE HUNT BELOW CARBON. THEY SAY THE LAND IN QUESTION IS BETWEEN HWY 206 AND COUNTY ROAD 219. THAT IS FAR ENOUGH AWAY THAT IT IS PAST THE FIVE MILE LIMIT. THE LADY AT THE CARBON AG CENTER SAID THAT ANY ANIMAL THAT EATS THIS STUFF WANT MAKE IT AN EIGTH OF A MILE BEFORE IT DIES. IT IS REAL POTENT. I THINK WE ARE OKAY BUT MY SON AND I ARE STILL CHECKING EVERYTHING WE CAN.
