Do you have a dedicated/permanent reloading bench setup? I don't. Mine is temporary. It's a bar height, small footprint, metal table I bring from the garage to inside of the house and attach/place whatever equipment I need for the given activity. Sure it takes extra time to set up and take down but I don't want to do any of it in the garage and don't want to leave it up all the time in the house though I could do so in my office. Maybe I'll change some day and leave it set up.
No point to this thread other than to make conversation. If you care to post pics that's nice (though I know there are other pic threads) - I just don't have any since, again, mine is temporary and not set up right now.

My bench is permanently attached to the wall with 3 collapsing brackets. I had to be able to fold it down to keep Mamma's car in the garage.

I bought an unfinished dining room table years ago and added a bookshelf to the top back of it, added a couple more shelves and put a clear coat on it and never looked back. I also have 2 large metal cabinets with all the overflow equipment, brass, bullets, powder, etc......

I'll add that my equipment and consumables are kept in storage bins in an inside closet.

Yes, dedicated and permanent. Small room off the living room. The cabinet on the left is ammo and component storage. Can't see the gun safes from this angle.

I converted my storage building to my reloading shed. I insulated it and have an a/c unit that keeps it around 80 degrees all the time.

I put this bench together about ten years ago, I think. It is built of the kind of furniture they use in high school chemistry labs. The drawer units were once one piece but I cut it in two and added veneer to close off the ends. The bench top is sturdy enough for a fat old man to jump up and down on and probably weighs 150 pounds. It's virtually indestructible.

I went to Habitat for Humanity and bought a big solid core door and mounted it to the wall at bar height in my gun room. It is hell for stout and has more space than I'll ever need.

Luckily my woman likes guns and stuff so our office is in the formal di ing room and the office is my shop. Built this off plans from a website. Great plans love my shop.

I'm a fairly low volume loader. My bench is pretty basic but functional for my loading needs. The bench and shelves are bolted to the wall with lag bolts in the man cave. I framed the bench up to be stout and it is rock solid. The press is bolted through a metal plate. The scale and trickler are at eye level when I am seated. The back wall of the shelves is peg board. It has storage beneath it as well as a power strip on the side and the room is well lit. I did have to resort to a large cabinet for additional storage. Edited to add: The wife refers to it as the "shrine to the bullet".

I am building a dedicated reloading room now. I work a little on it when I get a chance and hope to start moving my stuff by end of month. I always have had mine setup in extra bedroom.

How many guns have you had to use that crow bar on? LOL Too darn many since I have one of those crappy Savage rifles. Dstroud, u got me beat. A dedicated building is far cooler than a dedicated room.

I think there's something to be said for a separate building. My setup is a small spare bedroom jam packed with all my stuff, which I love and is very convenient being right here in the house. The downside is, it's right here in the house and I often catch for the solvent odors, plus the fact that the woman still does not understand that I am not to be interrupted while charging cases. It would be nice to be able to fire up a cigar in the loading room now and then, too. I suppose I'd like a separate building, but temperature control is not optional. It's a MUST.

I suppose I'd like a separate building, but temperature control is not optional. It's a MUST. I'll show pics of my two loading places later The one attached to the range is multi-purpose. 19' x 25' x 9' walks. Concrete slab, steel frame, R-pannel. 4" open cell sprayed on the walls, 6-7" sprayed on the ceiling. We installed a mini-split that is keeping the entire structure at the 75° I have it set. That equipment was $1600. Of course, window units can do lots of work, for not much money. And of course you could build an out building out of wood, or have one of those well built portable buildings delivered. Lots of options, especially for the DIY type of person.

I agree on climate control....My mini split should be in next week along with extending my driveway up to the garage door. The right side is a 22x30 garage adjoining the 12x30 reloading room. Getting way off topic but as RR said my wife gets a little upset at all my stuff everywhere and has encouraged me to build this for a long time. What pushed me to do it was the fact I have since 1978 had a company vehicle so while my wife gets a new vehicle every few years my last personal vehicle was a used 1971 Ford Pinto I went off to college in. I don’t miss it! Anyhow a few months ago my hunting buddy who works for Toyota made me a deal on a new Tundra that I could not pass on so my new baby needed a garage. Now back to nailing up shiplap.....

Yeah, well...I know you have a loading space and setup at your range. I don't have that and life ain't fair!
