Anybody been camping at Sea Rim State Park? How are the RV campsites? How is the beach there? Looks like there is not much around there. Does it get crowded? Fishing any good? Any good Seafood places around Port Arthur. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Will do. There are only 15 RV campsites, so it can't be too crowded. It's not really too close to anything, so it will be a nice little get-a-way for the family.

DO NOT expect pretty green water! Bring a thermocell for every person, with plenty of spare butane and pads! There are several decent restaurants in the area (Larry's French Market, The Wheelhouse, Rodair Roadhouse, Al T's in Winnie[You Have to Try the Dirty Herbie], and many many Mexican places). You can check out the Big Thicket National Parkway about an hour north of Port Arthur if you want something different. Feel free to PM me if you want to.

We really like SRSP and visited there on many occasions. Things stay quiet and well-behaved in the SP. Things can get rowdy on the adjacent McFadden federal beach, though. Beer and bait is about all you can get in Sabine Pass. Anything more and you have to head all the way back into Port Arthur. There are a few decent restaurants in Port Arthur and even more as you get closer into Beaumont. Don't go around Port Arthur without a pistol within reach. Beaumont either, for that matter.
Disclaimer: I have not been back to SRSP since Hurricane Harvey came through, so I am not sure how things may have been impacted.

Thanks for all the input guys.
We had a really great time at Sea Rim. The camping spots were nice and big and not too crowded. I wish there was a little more shade, but not a lot trees around there period. The beach was kept very clean and there was enough room to spread out away from the other people. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. Nice breeze blowing in off the ocean, never got too hot. We drove over to Louisiana one day and checked out their beaches. Overall great spot to take the family and do a little RV camping. We will be going back.
