Any advice on the magnum case reloading, sizing, crimp or not to crimp, powder charge (type/brand)? All I have experience with is standard calibers 308, 3006, and hand gun. I use RCBS single stage for the rifles, and Dillon multi-stage for pistol calibers. The 160 grain Accubond shoots lights out in my new 7 Mag, and I have been saving the cases. Have done some reading on different powders, but thought I might ask some who already reload that cartridge to hopefully prevent some of the mistakes along the way.

After eating Payne's sausage I don't know if I can go back to the regular store bought stuff.

The only difference is the belt. Headspace off the shoulder and it’s all the same.

No crimping needed. Id go with IMR 7828 for the 160's.

Oh they make it in a SC (short Cut) as well. Should be able to get a little more powder in the case with the short cut.

I've been reloading the 7mag for years now, and mine love the 160 AB's too. They are devastating on game, including African plains game.

No crimp
I reach for RL22 first, and seldom have to try other powders
I do like Retumbo, as FJG mentioned. You can easily get 3200' with 160's
Fed 201M CCI 250's work great
I neck size only using Lee collet dies.

Assuming I can run Lee dies in RCBS press? I have never tried to run anything but RCBS in this press.

You can, no problem. If you already have RCBS dies, I'd go ahead and use those first.

7/8" x 14 are what dies are threaded.

Yeah, seems H-Retumbo is "the powder" for 7 Rem Mag to make speed and precision. But if an H-1000 load is shooting inside a dime, I wouldn't kick it out of bed.
