Sheared the drive shaft just above the prop yesterday on the 23hp long tail I just bought Friday. I'm guessing it had a crack or something in it when I bought it because it really didn't hit anything hard at all. My question is, where can I get this fixed, or is replacing a drive shaft something that is simple enough to do myself. I was wanting to possibly get a new one machined out of stainless steel. Do I need to replace all the bearings while I have it taken apart?

Backwater sells conversion kits. Not sure if they fit your frame but I'd look into it.
