Asking for a coworker.

If the archery only season is over, do you still have to have the archery endorsement to use a crossbow?

He asked me and I honestly don't know.

I believe crossbows have always been legal during gun season. The rub always was that bowhunters didn't want them to be allowed during bow season but lost that battle a year or two ago.

You only need the Archery stamp to hunt with archery equipment during general season in Collin, Dallas, Grayson and Rockwall county.

And now a lot of those same bowhunters that were rubbed have come over to the dark side. roflmao

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

I know crossbows are legal during both bow and rifle.

My question is, do you have to have the archery endorsement on your license to use it during regular season? He didn't get his archery endorsement when he got the license. I told him y'all would have the answer!

I am 100% sure I'm right.

Recently got a gym membership, strange folks! I like to show up the roid zombies with my full motion curls with the 55lb. bells. Not their cheater short stroked light weights. It's holarious.

No. UNLESS he is hunting in a archery only county like the ones ChrisB listed above.
