I am glad that we planted oats two weekends ago! The Frio River came down and is running hard, that is nice. I heard Leakey got 7" so that means mucho water for a while. Unfortunately, I had to cancel a dove/hog hunt that I had lined up for some combat/wounded USMC veterans since we can't cross the river. Hard to be too upset over getting that much rain though!

Hope all you guys are getting some of this nice rain too.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

We were lucky our rains came down slow and soaked in, just what we needed.

My buddies west of Dilley had over 14". I have had just over an inch in Menard and two inches south of town. Rains fell very slow here so there was little runoff.
Adios,
Gary

13" in NE Webb County Monday through yesterday. That puts us over 40" the last three years in a row.

Same here, but I only got less than 2", well enough to get the plots kicked of in good shape. Have a chance next mid week for more, so great timing on the plots if that comes through.
