Guys,
I've ordered a rifle that is already threaded and I want to know if this is a simple do it yourself deal or if I should get a gunsmith to install it? I'd think that since it already has threads all I would need to do is install it/screw it in. I assume that if it's screwed in correctly it "should" shoot correctly.
Thoughts?

Depends on your break. Timing the break isn't easy. Now If you have a break like the little basterd gen2 you can time it yourself (it has a self timing feature).

What Kevin said. For the most part, there are two types of brakes: Those with evenly spaced ports all around, (axial?), and those with ports out the sides and, some , also the top. The axial brakes do not need to be timed, the others do but often come with shims making this fairly simple. If you are shooting much in the prone position on the ground the axial brakes can cause a lot of dust or dirt to be stirred up...somewhere on the forum is a great write-up on brakes, hopefully someone will post a link.
