I used to live around there. I'm not sure which restaurants didn't get wet. If you are actually in Cypress, you aren't far from some decent places (if they are dry). The Redfish Grill on 249 at Louetta is/was really good, with Sushi and seafood, but they aren't far from Cypress Creek, which means they might be wet. Lots of good places around 249 and 1960, including PF Changs and Macaroni Grill. Chuy's is at 290 and Hwy6/1960.

It all depends which part of Cypress you are going to be in. For breakfast I'd go to Harris County Smokehouse on Hwy 6 and 290.

Our go to Mexican plan is El Jimador on Telge a few miles north of the 290. Then the burger shack in Cypress-Rosehill north of 290. They have a menu with burger combinations that you won't usually think of.

I know the time is past, but I really like Bluewater Seafood at 1960 and 290.

My fave is Pho An 2 for Vietnamese on 249 @ 1960. Hadn't found a favorite Thai restaurant but just around the corner from Pho An 2 is Thai Basil that currently has my nod.
