Have 15-20 acre field rancher says he will plant, but wants to know what is best for deer food plot. Near Graham, no irrigation, but lots of rain so far this year...Any suggestions from anyone, or just go with the traditional oats or winter wheat?

Oats has always been best for us. KISS. You could mix in some peas if you need/want the nitrogen.

100 lbs oats & 50 lbs winter peas per acre and you will not be able to keep the deer off it.
