I'm looking to have a bit of custom work done on one of my 1911s. Are there any reputable gunsmiths in DFW that deal specifically with 1911's? I will need them to be able to do some frame and barrel modifications along with offer refinishing. Thanks in advance.

popo1223 on this forum has a business that is called Kens Kustom Guns. He specializes in 1911s. He is located in the Gun Barrel City area.

No Ken Crawley is about 15 miles west of Gun Barrel on Hwy 85 west of Seven Points. He is also a great gunsmith. I think that popo1223 has a facebook page as Kenz Kustom Guns. You will not go wrong with either one.

you are correct, thank you. glad crawley is still around. he did full blown custom job on my lw commander really first rate.
