This past weekend, we drove up on 2 rattlers within 10 feet of each other. Both scooted off into the brush and we weren't able to take care of either. When do rattle snakes breed?

Killed 4 last week hunting at home in N.C. , 1 pigmy rattle, 2 cane brake rattlers (1) 7and a button,( 1) 15 and a button, 1 copperhead. yes they are out. Forrest

Was he tender when you ate him, or tough?

I always thought it was all in the cooking more than the seasoning. Of course, it also depends on how much you handle them while they're getting older.
