In getting ready to go hunt, I want to urge all hunters to be very aware of your surroundings. As you head out in the dark to your hunting site, keep in mind all the dangers out there. Feral hogs are bad enough, but now they are attacking people... see this article where hogs attacked people:
http://www.gastongazette.com/article/20151005/NEWS/151009416

As you walk in the dark, and cannot see what that noise is, keep in mind that some of those tusks on those hogs are long enough to tear an artery out of you and you'd bleed out before getting back to your truck. And it seems like every year, hunters climb into their stands and fall asleep......that's when the snakes like to crawl up your pants legs. Imagine waking up to a copperhead or rattlesnake slithering next to the inside of your thigh. Think of how that will feel when that snake is next to your skin. The most poisonous ones are the small ones that you don't see next to your leg, or the one over your head that falls on you as you walk by. And you have to be careful of the spiders that have taken residence under that old chair that you haven't been in for a while. Right underneath the seat.....you sitting there will attract it to you. Don't believe me? Just search online for images of spider bites. They are too horrible to post here....I don't want to make people sick. They will be crawling down the back of your neck.

Also......in the dark, as you try to be quiet walking to the blind.......you know that the animals can hear you.....the more quiet you are, the more the panthers are attracted to you. They will be just outside your vision.....watching you. Keep a lookout for the eyes....looking at you.
Plus there are more and more black bears showing up in Texas.....the article I linked above says "Bears have recently been spotted in the neighborhood." If they're in the neighborhood, they'll surely be stalking next to that feeder of yours......sitting, waiting.....quietly waiting for a meal. It could be you.

I just want you to be careful......I'd hate to loose you in the dark.......

Walk lightly but carry a big stick! roflmao

I've hunted all my life and now I'm 70. Only thing I'm afraid of is they'll find my half eaten carcass some day out there in the brush after I laid down and went to sleep.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

i've already been spider bit and snake bit
and i made it.
i'm more worried about the pinheads that make
sound shots and hail mary shots than i am worried
about any animals. too many don't think about
what's behind their target and where their
shot may end up. they're more worried about how
fast their bullet is traveling.

You're a lot safer in the dark woods than in the lighted city.

Probably very young or he's just a guy that needs to take up another sport.

Be scared?! Really. At first I thought the post was a joke without a punch line then "what is this guy selling?" Oh well, maybe he will figure it out.

The drive to and from work are more scary than the woods. People cutting traffic, the ones texting, speeders then hit the brakes, tailgating, the late for work ones, etc.

I found this to be very comical. Black bear eating a human LOL. That's some funny stuff. Black bears don't eat people. Pigs are the only thing that do scare me on that list and that's why most of us carry a sidearm.

According to Alaska statistics, black bears account for way more bear attacks than browns or grizzlies.

The only thing I fear about being in the woods at night is stepping in a badger hole and breaking a leg. Well, that and clowns. And flying monkeys.

Silver spurs and gold tequila
keep me hanging on.
Pretty girls and old cantinas
give me shelter from the storm.

Great now I have to watch out for frickin panthers and black bears... but seriously I have gotten a little spooked walking to the blind on a moonless morning and it's just eerily quiet.
