Watched 22 deer grazing the wheat making their way toward us, hoping this was going to be he day my daughter took her first deer, and then a cow started snorting and spooked most of them away. Two stuck around and eventually made their way within shooting distance. Only problem is they were young illegal bucks and not doe...we were excited to see the deer but bummed we didn't get to pull the trigger. Snapped this phot as they were getting into the pen. They did offer my daughter good target acquisition practice and we watched as they presented good shots and bad shots, so it wasn't all for naught. Some good learning happened, and then they left and walked within 5 yards of us and didn't know we were there. Was fun. Praying tomorrow is the day.
