I only shoot out to 35 yards...only 3 pins on mine. Only need one or two. If you are shooting 40-50-60 yards...yeah single pin may help if its set up correctly. Otherwise, kind of a waste imo

I just switched to a single pin from a 3 pin. With my worsening eyesight, I am able to focus on the single pin better. I also have put red dots on most all of my rifles that previously had iron sights, just can't see them anymore. That is to say I would if I owned any rifles.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf

Back when I used to shoot 3D competition I used multiple pins. For hunting I always used one pin and kind of a fixed gap, but limited my shots to 25 yards. Majority of the deer I've taken have been 20 yards and less.
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
