Need help choosing and mounting a scope for my new gun. Will mostly be shooting pigs with it.

Hard request to answer without more info. What ranges? Open range or cover? I prefer Nikon brand, but there are others that have great reputations. Mounts? A PEPR is hard to beat but a bit pricey. Weaver has a mount that is very similar for half the cost. I use both and either is great. I assume you aren't needing night vision?

Distances you are shooting at? A clone Eotech or red dot could be a good choice and very easily put on.

MTAC is great mounted in a PEPR. I've never taken mine past 100, but it's performed admirably from 10-100 yards. Wife has a Nikon P223 4-12 in the Nikon P223 rings and loves it. It's on her S&W AR15 Sport

If you're using primarily on pigs you should buy a scope with good light transmission. You likely be shooting in low light or dark with a light of some sort.
