Doesn't look like any badger I have seen. Sticking with baby bobcat. Would have to be crossed with a Dachshund with those short legs.

You know what I am going to agree with you and say a young Bobcat. Not built like a badger after I zoomed in and lightened it a bit more. The face color does not match a bobcat but will have to agree.

Badger all day long.
IF you have a photo program that allows you to lighten the picture and zoom in, use it, badger plain as day.
Notice the short round ears and their placement low and to the side of the head if the stripe down the middle of the face isn't enough for you.
It looks nothing like a juvenile Bobcat.
Spartans ask not...how many, but where!

There is a very healthy population of them in Dickens county.
A baby bobcat goes nowhere without momma, she would be in the pic as well.

We've seen a few in Terrell County and there are NEVER animals near the feeder when they're out.
