After spending a couple of weekends with a chainsaw trying to clear brush and getting a good dose of poison oak in the process; it became clear it was time to bring in professional help in the form of a CAT299 with Fecon rotary drum brush eater.

This is just a sample of the before and after pics from just 12hrs of equipment work.

Did you rent it or have someone come in to do the work? Looks good and its always good to not have poison oak. I just had it a few weeks ago from clearing brush

Looks identical to a place I hunted in the 80's, about 1/2 mile off the Brazos river, good looking terrain.

@SapperTitan..... I had an owner operator come out and do it, I wanted somebody on the machine that really could make it perform to its fullest capacity.

@Western..... I've got some GOOD terrain and hunting, but this place is actually in Oklahoma about 20min north east of the Choctaw Casino.

The machine was a CAT 299XHP with a Fecon mulching/brush head; this is not the machine that was on my property but the same spec....

Notice that's a fairly large tree for the machine; on 8" diameter trees and smaller, the Fecon head can really eat.
