THF Members,

I took this picture at George Bush Park in October 2015. For educational purposes for all new hunters can anyone estimate an age on this big fella? He looks mature to me. I also noticed he was alone. He looked towards me because I called him out using a Primos Monster deer grunt call. What else can you observe? Very interested in your feedback. Learning everyday.

Just so you know all of this area was underwater due to the floods in May and April 2016. The water must have easily topped to 3/4 height of those trees or 15 to 18 feet so I am not sure if he made it out this year. I have not see him again.

Looks mature with some sag to back, gut, front brisket. No way to age. I believe he would have moved out from the high water for survival and they get big/old for a reason. Stay hidden and nocturnal.

He will look hot dog bun with legs mature this year. They can swim pretty dang well so a little extra water won't bother him one bit.
