I went from Houston to College Station to my ranch in Giddings and then back to College Station and finally Houston this weekend. On 3/4 legs of that trip my lab, Bricks, was whining pretty much the whole time. The only reason he was not on one of the legs was because he was worn out from running around my ranch. I have the seats folded up in the back of my truck and he has plenty of space to lay down on his bed. I can't figure out what bothers him so much when I am driving. If anyone has had this problem with their dog and solved it I would love to hear what you did to calm the dog down. Thanks for the help!

Sounds similar to car sickness. Most grow out f that.

You probably didn't let him play on his iPad or listen to the right radio station. He ll grow out of it. Most the time they're excited they're going somewhere.

Mine did the first few weeks. Now she either looks out the window or sleeps.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

Mine will do this if I don't put her in her kennel in the truck. She gets nervous for some reason if I just fold the seats up and let her ride, but if I put her kennel back there and put her in it she goes straight to sleep.

I'll have to see if his kennel fits back there. He's a bit bigger than an average lab so I have a slightly larger kennel for him.

Whenever I've had to pick up my daughter's dog it will randomly start howling out of confusion. She's got some lungs on her and you have to roll the window down to keep from rupturing your ear drums. She was supposed to be a chocolate lab, from a friend of my son-in-law's, but she looks more like Santa's Little Helper from The Simpson's. (Now a fatter version.)
